The county offers many places for the more common activities of bowling, ice-skating, and miniature golf, but there are also more unique activities relating to the history of the area. The National Capital Trolley Museum, the Clara Barton House, and the National Museum of Health and Medicine are just a few of the historical and educational offerings of the county for the whole family to enjoy.

If you are a lover of theatrical productions and music, there are numerous venues in the county that offer many different types of shows throughout the year, close to shops, restaurants, and great places to stay.

Enjoy everything the area has to offer while still being a short metro ride away from the nation's capital. Take a walk along the national mall and enjoy the iconic monuments and memorials, including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the World War II Memorial. History lovers will be in heaven touring the Smithsonian museums, and you can even stop by the visitor's centers of the U.S. Capitol and White House.
